====== Fort Craig FAA Microwave Station ======

This is a microwave relay built for the FAA, part of a chain up the Rio Grande valley. It is in a distinctive "H" tower style, intended to support a "periscope" configuration with the antennas on the roof of the building below and passive reflectors at the top of the tower. This setup is no longer installed, instead it has a couple of small parabolic antennas at the top.

The history of these sites is hard to work out because, ironically, the FAA lost the original records related to them (according to a later license filing, where they explained the lack of an obstruction study by noting the loss of their construction records). They are probably now being operated by Harris or a successor on contract.

Presumably there is a next hop to the north, and I think the FAA facility in northern Albuquerque is too far. Perhaps the crest?
