====== Wagon Mound J Repeater ====== This is a J-carrier repeater directly by the railroad tracks and near I-25 in northwestern New Mexico. It is located immediately next to a set of operational semaphore signals on the railroad, so it's not unusual for it to make an appearance in the background of railfan photos. This repeater served an open-wire route between Denver and Albuquerque then, ultimately, El Paso. ^ Built | ??? likely 1930s | ^ Builder | AT&T | /* Suggested table rows: */ /* ^ CLLI | | */ /* ^ Callsign | | */ /* ^ ASR | | */ /* ^ Fate | | */ I am thinking it was built in the late 1930s because of the design similarity to repeaters on the fourth transcontinental, which was built around 1935-1938. I don't know very much about this route, though, and it is always confusing to research due to the number of different toll leads on the Rio Grande corridor over the years, all of which have left various remains. {{wst>location|36.0737538|-104.6879054}} ===== Routes ===== ^ Destination ^ Direction ^ Carrier | | | | | | | | | ==== License History ==== ===== Construction ===== ===== Photos ===== {{gallery>facilities:open_wire:wagon_mound_j_repeater}} {{geotag>lat:36.0737538 lon:-104.6879054}} {{tag>needs-research}}
