This is a J-carrier repeater building just off the freeway near Larkspur, CO. It's part of a J-carrier route between Denver and Albuquerque, and its siting makes it rather picturesque.

Lascar J Repeater

This is a J-carrier repeater immediately adjacent to I-25, on an open-wire route between Denver and Albuquerque. It has been reused as an art gallery, somewhat surprising since it is quite remote from any towns. I don't know much about this route, but the next repeater north is probably Greenland.

Tucumcari is home to a former repeater on the Fourth Transcontinental Telephone Line, which runs from Albuquerque to Amarillo in this area. Some sections of original poles from the open wire line are standing to the west. According to route maps, there was also a K-carrier

Wagon Mound J Repeater

This is a J-carrier repeater directly by the railroad tracks and near I-25 in northwestern New Mexico. It is located immediately next to a set of operational semaphore signals on the railroad, so it's not unusual for it to make an appearance in the background of railfan photos. This repeater served an open-wire route between Denver and Albuquerque then, ultimately, El Paso.
